Five Element Acupuncture
Finding your everyday balance
I am a fully licensed acupuncturist and a registered member of the British Acupuncture Council. Five Element Acupuncture is a traditional form of acupuncture within Chinese medicine, practiced for over 2,000 years. This system understands health as a dynamic state of balance within the body, rather than focusing on symptoms in isolation.
Five Element acupuncture understands health as a dynamic balance. When that balance is disrupted, it can show up physically, emotionally, or as a general sense of being out of tune with ourselves. That’s why each treatment is completely personal, focusing on identifying these root patterns and supporting the body’s natural capacity for regulation and healing using fine acupuncture needles and gentle heat therapy when appropriate.
My work as a practitioner is rooted in compassion and a holistic approach. My care is tailored to the individual, with an emphasis on long-term health, emotional resilience, and overall well-being. This approach aims to create lasting change, helping you feel more settled, resilient, and at ease in yourself. How
it works
Acupuncture takes a whole-person approach, with every treatment tailored to the individual. Sessions may support anxiety and stress, back pain and tension, sleep difficulties, hormonal and menopause balance, digestive imbalances, or overall wellbeing.
The British Acupuncture Council lists conditions and symptoms along with clinical studies that acupuncture can help with here.
Initial consultation
Our initial appointment will last 90 minutes. We’ll talk through your health history, current concerns, and anything else you’d like to share. You’ll also receive your first acupuncture treatment relevant to your diagnosis during this session.
Follow-up treatments
Ongoing sessions are 45–60 minutes and will always be tailored to your individual needs. Treatment works with the whole person, supporting harmony across physical, emotional, and energetic aspects, allowing your body the space it needs to heal and find lasting balance.
Your treatment plan
I’ll create a treatment plan to support your care, which may include gentle lifestyle suggestions. As acupuncture works cumulatively, a short series of sessions is often recommended to allow the effects to build over time.
